Once again on this wonderful winter day I decide spontaneously, as I usually do, to have a relaxing hike to the Blue Lagoon near Oludeniz, Turkey. I would like to share this superb hike I had through the Ghost Town of Kayakoy and surrounding hill forest, with you.
Turkey has the most intact ancient ruins than anywhere else. The Lycian Coast, to where Kayakoy belongs to, is known for an incredible history. Waves of people, states, eras, and empires have left their mark on the coastline and mountains, the people and culture.
Many people visit Kayakoy to spend a relaxing holiday in beautiful villas and participate in activities like swimming, boating, camel riding etc. On the days when you’re not relaxing by the pool, or sun-bathing, you can still embrace the outdoors as well as Kayakoy’s magnificent countryside by visiting some of Kayakoy’s ruins and Lycian tumbs.…
