After some rainy days the sun finally returned, energized me again and woke up the spirits of the outdoors which I could hear calling me. I postponed some maintenance jobs I had to do in he villas and decided to walk to ‘Fethiye Adventure Park’, an outdoor activity centre located in Ovacik, a district of Fethiye. Though this walk would take me a while I knew it would be enjoyable, as hikes usually are in this part of the country. This trip would have gone much faster by car (20 min), however I just like walking when time allows.
Fethiye Adventure Park exists since 2016 but it was my very first experience with this type of outdoor activity. Unfortunately I couldn’t try this earlier due to an injury I had (still a little stiff, but feeling much better).
Adventure park, finally there
After 2 and a half hours hiking I finally arrived and still felt pretty fit despite the long walking distance. It was still relatively early and things where still quiet in the park … as I expected. This was actually an ideal opportunity to have a tea with my friend Tuncer, the owner of ‘Fethiye adventure Park’. He is, in deed very friendly and always happy to help Park Guests whenever needed. Furthermore he is very professional.
Adventure Park brief description
One of the things I really like is in this site is the way it is build up. The main entry is made natural wood logs forming a sort of octagon. The fence separating the park from the car parking area is also made out of wood logs.
A nice plot of grass with playgrounds for children and nice ways for guests makes the area very attractive and practical. A small café on the north side of the park makes it possible for visitors to eat and drink whenever necessary.
Various small animals like chickens, rabbits, some gooses and a peafowl, all live together in the Park area. The presence of animals has a very positive influence on children and adults.
The most remarkable thing is the fact that the tracks are build up in a pine forest, a completely natural environment.
Adventure Park Tracks
The main attraction of ‘Fethiye Adventure Park’, are the tracks that guests can use for their outdoor fun experience and to challenge themselves both physically and mentally. In order to guarantee the fun factor the tracks are categorized in different performance levels.
Beginners Track
The beginner Track will enables you to take the first step in the adventure game. First time participants get familiarized with the safety gear and equipment in general. A trained staff member guides you through the process in a 10 to 15 min. course.

Blue Track (Kids Track)
The blue Track is designed for kids from age 3 to 6 years old and is the most easy to use. During their actions the children are double-secured with 2 carabiners connected to a safety strip all the way long. In addition, the kids are always in reach of the person accompanying them.
Fun isn’t the only positive aspect of this adventure track. In fact kids improve their balance and learn to overcome obstacles.
Green Track
The green track is a very good choice for first time users. This track is very exciting, very good for balance training and requires more or less a good physical fitness. A panoply of structures like platforms, stairs, bridges, zip-lines, etc. enable guests to fully enjoy their outdoor game. The age range for this track is from 7 years to above.
Red Track
Compared to the green Track described above, the red track requires a little more physical fitness due to the longer distances between platforms. The structures are similar to the ones of the green track and the heights of the platforms are moderate. However, this Track is more challenging than the green one. But no matter the performance level safety is always guaranteed.
Black Track
The experience here is more focused on height and less on physical fitness. The structures are higher than the one of the green and red track and are mainly made of zip-lines. This offers an amazing experience for both younger and older people. Hanging on these zip-lines and rolling from one tree to another at these considerable heights releases a great feeling of freedom.
Safety
All structures used for the adventure games are set to international high safety standards. Same applies to the safety equipment such as harnesses, ropes, carabiners, etc. The structure have been planned and step-up by the French specialized company ‘Arbre et aventure’, which has international experience in matter of adventure parks building. All structures and equipment is checked on a regular basis by an independent company.
Ending the day
After spending a good part of the day and re-experiencing some childhood activities at the Adventure Park, I was ready for a drink. Finally Arife drove down and picked me up after sharing a coffee with us. At the end I was to tired to walk back home.
