While the almond blossoms have been the star of the garden lately, the real work is happening behind the scenes. As we move into the second half of March, we are officially in “renovation mode” at Eden Villas.
Maintenance and Renewals
Every year, the transition from winter to spring in Kayaköy is a race against the clock. We want everything to be perfect before our first guests arrive. This week, we have a dedicated team on-site helping us with repairs and fresh painting across all the houses.
The focus right now is on the details that make a holiday comfortable:
- The Swimming Pools: We are currently regrouting the tiles and renewing the pool lighting. We want the water at Villa Amara and Villa Passion to look crystal clear and the lighting to be perfect for those quiet evening swims.
- The Wooden Köşk: The traditional seating area in the garden of Villa Eden is getting a fresh layer of paint today. It’s one of the most popular spots for a morning coffee or an afternoon nap, and the wood needs that extra protection after the winter rains.
Garden Trimming: With the heavy rains we’ve had, the growth has been faster than usual. We are currently trimming back the vines and shaping the plants to ensure the gardens feel lush but open
A Quiet Day for Celebration
Today, the work site is a bit quieter. Our team is taking a well-deserved day off to celebrate Eid with their families. It’s a rainy Saturday here in the valley, which actually feels quite peaceful. The rain is giving our newly trimmed plants a good soak, and it gives us a moment to step back and look at the progress. Looking Ahead to season 2026
Despite the spring showers, we are happy to see the progress. There is a lot of satisfaction in seeing a fresh coat of paint or a perfectly grouted swimming-pool. It is all part of the preparation to ensure that when you arrive, your private retreat is exactly as it should be.
